What is the tarot card of each sign? - Mystic Attitude

Aries: The Magician

The Magician is the first card of the major arcana and Aries is the first sign of the zodiacal wheel. What gives us place to interpret that this is the card that corresponds with its energy. Many tarotists assume that the card of Aries is the Emperor, but Aries does not seek constant stability, but is always in the quest to undertake something new. It does not enjoy the routine, but rather of the challenges and the changes that they entail.

As Jodorowsky says, for the magician everything is possible and so is for Aries. It speaks of cunning, power of reasoning and action, although many times, in that action there are many rash decisions that make us hit the wall. So is Aries energy, impulsive and powerful as its fire element. We must learn from the magician, the use of all the elements to achieve a balance between them. It speaks of young souls and youthful energy, capricious, defiant, energetic, and always ready to move forward and not look back.

Taurus: The Emperor

The Emperor is directly linked to stability, which corresponds to the energy of number 4. It has to do with domination, responsibility, rationalism and, above all, material stability. These are characteristics that we see very present in the bullfighting. Being a fixed earth sign, the key is in the manifestation of the material world. Work, routine, finances and home are the top priorities in the universe of Taurus natives. According to Jodorowsky, the emperor is the resting force. This same characteristic we see in Taurus, who takes time in making decisions in order to go the right way. Nothing is decided at random, either precipitously or impulsively as Aries would. Both Taurus and the Emperor want to be masters of their material world.

Gemini: The Empress / The Lover

In the case of Gemini, I feel that its energy is linked to these two cards. On the one hand, we have the empress, card number 3 as Gemini which is the third sign on the zodiacal wheel. This card represents the passage from virginity to creativity. There is much curiosity and receptivity for knowledge and experiences (as well as Gemini). On the other hand, we have the Lover, card number 6 (we see here as in numerology 3 + 3 = 6), where there is a central character, trying to take a choice between two opposing energies. Gemini possesses a duplicity inside, can go from being happy to annoying in a matter of minutes. In turn, this sign appreciates and values communication and never has absolute thoughts since it is a great mediator who considers both one point of view and another. We see in this card, multiple interpretations, where the central figure converses with the others on an earthly plane while they are observed from a spiritual plane. You can be both a “lover” trying to make a decision, as a son introducing a girlfriend to his mother, as well as a discussion between people who needs to be mediated by a third party.

Cancer: The Moon

Recall that the ruling planet of Cancer is the moon, the female archetype by excellence, the mother, the hidden and the deep emotions. Both the card and the sign of the zodiac teach us to be in touch with our intuition. Cancer is a sign that needs its intuitive side for making decisions. It also sends us the fear of the unknown and the abandonment, issues very common in people of Cancer, since it costs them much to enter in confidence and to let see the depths of its personality. In turn, the moon is receptive and speaks of the emotional reception that also has the sign of the crab. They are sensitive people who absorb the energies around them that can generate sudden mood swings.

Leo: The Sun / the Force

These two cards are linked to the lion energy. On the one hand, we have the card of the Sun, which corresponds to its ruling planet. The Force corresponds to the symbol of Leo that is the Lion. Where we have a female figure that represents the intellectual power is in full fight with passions and impulsive energy. There are many issues in the natives of this sign that require a process of harmonization. Since overflowing desire for attention is an issue that needs to be balanced. On the other hand, we have the sun, source of heat and life, the center of our solar system, linked to paternal energy. It is directly linked to success and evolution, important issues in the sign of Leo. We all want to bring to light our “internal brilliance” and the capacities that characterize us to receive the desired recognition. But remember that excess heat produces dryness and therefore, it is a message for Leo, in order to keep in balance your desire for attention and control.

Virgo: The pope woman/ The Cart

In the case of Virgo, it corresponds to the energy of these two particular cards. On the one hand, we have the Pope woman. It is related to the higher knowledge, the energy of the mother, purity. Something interesting that highlights Jodorowsky is that despite being cloistered in the matter belongs to the spiritual world. This issue is something that cost a lot to assimilate to Virgo, as it is a sign of the earth element. The fact of being locked in talks us about solitude and isolation that, nevertheless, there is always the desire to receive love and passion. For you as a Virginian it is common to “lock up” in your ideals and stick with fixed ideas. However, a part of you needs to let go and that is something that every Virgo person needs to work on. Put aside the control and let yourself flow knowing that you have the knowledge to do so. It is also linked to the energy of the Cart. This card corresponds to the number VII. It symbolizes movement, direction and, hence, knowing where to go. He possesses a triumphant energy, much seen by the constancy and perseverance of Virgo. It makes us wonder how we run our lives.

Libra: Justice

It is no coincidence that the sign Libra is linked to the card of Justice. Both work balance and harmony. They teach us that perfection does not exist and that this concept does not have to be linked to a balanced situation. Both humanity and nature have processes, constant changes that indicate that perfection is impossible and non-existent. This is something that can also apply to the sign Virgo, which has problems to assume this. It also communicates the concept of exigency. The natives of this sign are usually considered demanding because they are very particular people, with a lot of presence and if they have someone at their side (whatever the type of relationship it is) they expect it to be “at their height”.

Scorpio: The Arcane Without Name

The unnamed arcane, number XIII, better known as “Death”, is the arcane corresponding to the sign of Scorpio. This arcane speaks of the deep transformation, transmutation of old energies and internal revolutions / changes. Scorpio possesses this same transformative message, where the goal is to bring out all that we have concealed within us and does not allow us to advance. Generating a cut in our present and giving rise to new beginnings. No change is easy, but still it’s always worth a try. We must also consider that change is inevitable and necessary. As Jodorowsky says: The passage through the Arcanum XIII is a process of elimination that styles the ego and dresses it.

Sagittarius: The Wheel of Fortune

Everyone should know that luck is Sagittarius. That’s why when I thought about what card I felt it has his energy, the wheel of fortune arose in me. Sagittarius’ fire energy lives in the pursuit of new adventures, changes, partners and friends. The tarot card speaks of a circle that has no beginning or end and continues to spin. Regardless of the situation in life that we find, whether it is a quiet or difficult transit, we have to live with the certainty that everything happens for a reason and that always leads to something better. It has to do with not staying in the blocks and staying in a state of constant renewal. The attitude of Sagittarius, optimistic, adventurous and impatient connects with the energy of the wheel of fortune where everything is in constant mutation.

Capricorn: The Hermit

While for many Capricorn is linked with The Devil, I feel that the card that best reflects his energy is that of the hermit. The devil tells us to bring our creativity to life and invites us to see ourselves with our faults and virtues. The Hermitage, on the other hand, speaks of independence and enjoyment in so characteristic of Capricorn. This card according to Jodorowsky is both the highest wisdom and also a deep crisis for lack of direction. This is what every Capricorn needs, goals, direction and above all, recognition by his peers. There is a secret and solitary place that possesses all native of this sign, where it costs much to enter since this does not usually show its emotions with facility. Even so, I relate it to this card because it has a lot of knowledge and wisdom when it comes to helping others and objectively recognizing situations in everyday life.

Aquarium: The Star

The aquarium symbol is a woman / man pouring water, as we also see it in the card of the arcane The Star. Its symbology is linked to nutrition, inspiration, respect and find our place in the world. According to Jodorowsky represents a stage in which one finds its place in the world to beautify and nourish it. It also symbolizes generous action. These characteristics are clearly seen in the personality of the natives of this sign. They are people who do not seek to manifest and have money from the material, but are humanitarian by nature and invest their profits in their community. They are also people struggling for change and restructuring the status quo. They are those who break with schemes to establish a new high order.

Pisces: The Universe

While for some the Pisces card is The Moon, in this case, it is considered to be the Universe. Remember that all the signs of the zodiac represent a life story. Each sign represents a different stage, which begins in Aries and ends in Pisces. This process is also contemplated in tarot cards. That is why the card of Pisces is the Universe, that space where we all want to reach, the reach of our dreams and goals, where a balance is generated between the earthly and spiritual world, the supreme achievement by excellence. The world is perceived with full consciousness and spirituality as every person of Pisces does. It also represents putting ourselves at the service of humanity, an issue that is part of our social objectives. According to Jodorowsky, this card is linked to anima mundi, the universal agent who is in all things and who unites us to all things, as Pisces.
