The ascending cycles of our lives
This wheel will never stop spinning. A cycle ends to give rise to the birth of a renewed energy. Ever since I first saw this card, it led me directly to the image of the ouroboros. This symbol is a serpent or dragon that eats its own tail and therefore refers us to the cyclical nature of our experiences. A constant circulation that brings us to the consciousness of the eternal. According to Jodorowsky: “The message of the card is clear: the main factor of change, of life, is this cosmic action that is also called divine providence.”
- Visually we see a wheel supported by a support where everything rotates based on a center. Its circular axis is connected with a handle that is the one that generates a constant movement (but that nobody manages).
- We do not see any characters in control, since the circulation is determined by the same destiny. We see that the whole mechanism is supported by a wooden base of which it is not known if it is on land or on the water.
- The movement of the wheel is influenced by three beings or animals. First we have a monkey whose energy is directed downwards, and then we see a dog whose energy is directed upwards. This tells us about opposing forces that co-exist in the same cycle. These opposing energies are linked to the law of correspondence: “As above, it is below. As it is inside it is outside. As it is the universe, it is the spirit “. Finally, the sphinx is located on the top of the wheel in static form and connotes wisdom.
In front of our consultant
Symbolically it speaks of the karmic and dharmic energy of the consultant. Depending on the roll we can know where in the cycle the person is positioned and that allows us to obtain different interpretations. If it appears at the beginning it is because an episode that ended to give rise to something new. Change in circumstances, emergence of new opportunities, good fortune. Inverted can tell us about cycles that are repeated because the consultant doesn’t learn the lesson. Has it not happened to you that you feel that a situation is repeated? Have you ever felt patterns emerge in your life? This is because we did not learn the essence of experience, and then life will make us stumble with the same stone until we discover what we need to move forward. It can also tell us about bad luck, a difficult cycle end or locks.
Numerology
In relation to numerology we are in front of number ten. When we work the minor arcana, we see that the ten represents the end of a situation, experience or relationship. The relationship between the one and the zero make us think of the link between man and the universe.
To Conclude
We are eternal and therefore many experiences arise. Eternity is in us while the external experiences are those that help us transmute our spiritual energy in order to reach the highest state of our being. So it will be important to understand that the world does not stop, the wheel will continue to spin so that each experience will make us grow.
