An earthly monarch
Crouch your heads! For here is the figure of our sovereign. There are no lands that he can’t conquer, there is no weakness in his actions, he is never willing to surrender and therefore he is invincible. His magnificence tells us about his exploits, his ability to discipline and self-control. This monarch is much greater than his wife the empress, giving us to know another stage of our life where the conquest, the power and the success are important for the handling of the world in which we are.
The Emperor has many symbols that allow us to notice his nature:
- The crown above his head tells us about his hierarchy in the terrestrial world, since it is an element that is above all the human body. It contains triangles that indicate their universal sovereignty.
- The king is seated in a state of contemplation. We will see a serene being, master of his kingdom, whose throne tells us about his deepest knowledge.
- The red in his crown and his clothes represents intensity and transformation in his activities. Their crossed legs serve to move us away from bad influences.
- We will see in his shield the image of a female eagle. If we observe it carefully, we will see that it is incubating an egg. Their wings help us against the balance of opposing forces. His scepter as an extension of his arm, also indicate the power received from the spiritual world and his ability to govern.
In front of our consultant
In a consultation, you can tell us that we are in a state of power and solidity. The other sees us as an authoritarian figure (authority that we must exercise correctly). It communicates to us that we are fulfilling our earthly ambitions in order to reach a state of fulfillment. On the other hand, it can symbolize our father and how it influences our lives. In its reverse state, the card shows a damaging paternal figure. The father is negatively influencing or can speak of a stubborn, tyrannical and dominant person, whose negative actions will lead him to lose everything he built.
Numerology
We are in front of the number four, whose figure is the square. It represents plenitude, reason and material stability, where the focus is placed on the physical and concrete. It speaks to us about all material existence and reflects the natural orders on which our own nature governs as the four elements, the four seasons or the four winds. Although at the same time, this number is structure and rigidity, aspects to work of the consultant.
To conclude
The Emperor is the one who invites us to take control of our destiny, acting in order to conquer our earthly desires. It leads us to ask ourselves: who does not want to achieve success and inner recognition? It guides us towards the satisfaction of our longings in the world in which we live. Remember that once we are on top of the mountain we must be careful not to fall. Power is power, it does not have positive or negative aspects, but we are responsible for imposing our will. Exercising power is something we must learn in order to sit in the king’s place and be the monarchs of our own empire.
